Part 2: Reflection

In a 250-500 word reflection, provide a rationale for the questions you have developed and explain why it is important to pre-plan your lesson questions. Be sure to explain how teachers can use questions in different ways for varied purposes within lessons. Write your reflection beneath your completed “American History Questions Chart”.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

Part 3

Observe a minimum of two social studies lessons being taught in a 1-8 setting.

After observing the lessons, create four supplemental questions that are reflective of the content taught, identifying which DOK level each question is aligned to. Then, share your questions with your mentor teacher seeking his or her feedback.

Write a 250- word reflection that summarizes your observations and discussion with your mentor teacher. Be sure to address whether or not you would change your designed questions, based on the feedback you have received and update your questions as appropriate. Explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

Submit both the questions and reflection as one deliverable.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
