write up a page-length summary of your thoughts so far on this idea that spectator sports either bind us together more tightly (unify us) or drive us apart (exacerbate our disunity). I want to hear your thoughts in response to what we’ve been reading so far: Tarver and Cohn. These authors are all complicating the idea that the popularity of spectator sports in our society leads to greater social cohesion–that we as a society achieve greater unity, that we bind together as a community, through our shared love of watching sports.
