For the seek of this project, dental care electronic document/record management system is what I am going to do/create. Comprehensive and accurate records are a vital part of dental practice. Good record keeping is fundamental for good clinical practice .The system will be design for a dental office that has 8 employees in total, including the doctors; this office can accept 10 patients per day. Dental records consist of documents related to the history of present illness, clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment done, and the prognosis. Two mediums are used for collecting the records: paper and electronic due to the different elements it contains; as an example, written notes, radiographs, study models referral letters, consultants’ reports, clinical photographs, results of special investigations, drug prescriptions, laboratory prescriptions, patient identification information, and a comprehensive medical history. All documents/records will be located at the office where authorized users can access them, and it could be shared with authorized patients if necessary.
