Reliability is considered to be the most desired towards consistency from assessment scores. If a child is given a test again or multiple times, the results of those scores that provide similar outcomes are then considered to be a good representation of the child’s knowledge. If the representation is measured differently and provide similar results, this can also be considered a valid score. The purpose of reliability is to provide an accurate estimation for a valid assessment.
Validity is all gathered information or has been created to give a child assessment. Collected data allows for the appropriate inferences or the outcome of a child’s overall performance during a particular time.All supporting evidence provides steps that have been given to determine an assessment of what has been taught.
